Lead Tower Corporation/ Spam Laws

When it comes to email marketing most consumers do not know some of the basic rules and regulations. You can safely send mass emails without having to show up to court the next day. Spam Laws:

In order to be CAN-SPAM (Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing) Do the following.....

1. False or Misleading Headers or Subject Lines
a. Subject Lines must not mislead the recipient to open the email on the pretense that it is something other than what it is (Solicitation). You must also include the origination domain name and address. It must be accurate and identify the sender.

2. Opt-Out methods must be provided
a. A response mechanism must be provided for the receiver to opt-out of receiving future messages. Senders have up to 10 business days after an opt-out request to stop sending additional messages.

3. Commercial Email must be identified as an advertisement and it must include the sender's valid physical postal address.

Follow these simple rules and you will save yourself a lot of legal headaches.
